Our Story

Originally from South Georgia, Tiny Nest founder Abby Barber grew up surrounded by plants. In the woods where she lived, most days began and ended outdoors covered in dirt.

After learning the ropes in greenhouses of great-grandmothers and gardens of her grandfather, she traveled to work in Southern California and Northern New Mexico where she decided working with her hands in the soil is what she wanted to do professionally. She obtained a degree in agriculture with a focus on sustainability and is a licensed landscape horticulturist.

In 2018, Tiny Nest grew out of a desire to connect people with plants, in New Orleans and beyond. Through our design services and studio space, we aim to cultivate environments where people can experience the magic of plants.
